With my recent experience with Chip's Transmissions I highly recommend your shop to anyone needing their diesel transmission repaired. I needed information on rebuilding my 1999 Dodge Diesel Automatic Transmission. The truck had over 150,000 miles and was showing signs of a pending transmission failure. When I contacted you about the repair, you greeted me with a professional and sincere appreciation of my inquiry. You took the time to find out how I used the truck, the weight I pulled and any improvements your shop could make. You gave suggestions on money saving options without compromising the repair. Other transmission shops had offered a cookie cutter approach being evasive and vague when asked for details on their recommend repair. Unlike other shops I have dealt with, you completed the repairs in the agreed time, even though you found an additional part in the transmission that needed replacing. When I took delivery the comment was "your truck is running happy." I can not find a single word that describes it better. The transmission has performed flawlessly. What a difference! It has solid shifts and responds to changes in acceleration without hesitation. It is an automatic but has the response of a straight drive. Now when I pull my equipment trailer weighing over 10,000 lbs the truck responds better than it did before with less than half of that weight. To top it all off, I have seen a 2 miles per gallon increase in fuel mileage. What more could I ask for. A great repair from people I just met a reasonable cost and better performance and mileage to boot. It is my pleasure to share my experience with Chip's Transmissions.
