Knoxville Transmission Specialist
Chip's Transmissions welcomes you to our Knoxville transmission repair shop website. Each transmission technician at our automatic transmission repair shop in Knoxville is a highly qualified professional, ready to utilize their expert automotive transmission repair technician knowledge & skills for your every automatic transmission repair need. Chip's Transmissions has been serving the greater Knoxville area for over 30 years.
Chip's Transmissions offers ATRA Nationwide warranties (see below) and local warranties up to 100,000 miles. We also offer our exclusive "Fair and Reasonable" warranty. It goes above and beyond any of our other warranties and is also "in addition" to our other warranties. If one of our units should ever fail, for any reason, as long as you own your car, we will address your concern through a sense of caring and fair play. For example, if a transmission or a repair on a transmission we make ever fails for a reason that we feel should not have happened, we'll fix it for free. If the transmission failure happens because it's just one of those things or was caused by driving errors, weather or simply negligence, we'll discuss your options and come to a repair agreement that's fair - for the both of us. You'll never pay full price again. As you can see, the purpose of our "Fair and Reasonable" warranty is to assure our clients that we're here when you need us - it doesn't matter what the problem is or who's at fault. We created and instituted this warranty because we feel we build our units better than anyone else in the industry and if our transmissions ever have a problem, we want to know why. We account for our loss from any warranty repair as the cost of research and development and we take our responsibilities seriously. Feel free to ask us about the details. Btw, when you have a chance, check out our High Performance Diesel Transmission page at www.bulletprooftransmissions.com. We can build you a transmission that simply will not fail even under the most extreme use - guaranteed!
Chip's Transmissions wants to be your friend and, in doing so, we offer some other services (most of them for free) that no other transmission or auto repair shops offer. For example, we have a used car pre-purchase inspection service to help you choose a reliable used car BEFORE you spend your hard earned money or sign your life away. It may include road tests, a NADA value search, a good check over and our expert opinion, as we often have knowledge of problems that you are not aware of. We wouldn't want you to waste your savings on a car that won't give you good service. Appointments are not required unless you desire a more involved and detailed inspection. Our Major Pre-Purchase Inspection requires more time and a partial dismantling of the vehicle and it is, of course, a chargeable procedure. We have found, however, that a major inspection is seldom necessary and that our free inspection usually gives you all the information you need. We also offer a free "expert witness" service should you have a legal concern (some restrictions apply).
Chip's Transmissions in Knoxville is 100% consumer oriented. We take the time with our clients to make certain they understand what we do and why we do it. We will not proceed with any repair until we have your approval. Nobody likes unwelcome surprises. "Chip's" is an acronym for Competence, Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism and Service and that's how we run our business. Feel free to talk to us about any automotive concerns you may have.
Chip's automatic transmission shop in Knoxville is proud to be affiliated with the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder Association (ATRA). As an ATRA member, we can offer legitimate Nationwide Warranties and our automatic transmission repair shop, and all our employees, adhere to the service and repair definitions which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics. You can search the ATRA site online for more information.
Chip's Transmissions pledges to all of our customers that we will never remove a transmission from a vehicle in order to complete a repair unless absolutely necessary, and then, only with your approval.
