My wife and I thank you for the kindly manner in which you have treated our daughter, Kerry. Your care and interest greatly deminished her anxiety and made it possilbe for her to resolve her dilemma. As a father, you must know our own appreciation and thankfulness for your intervention.

We arrived at your shop tired & desperate. Our Chevy Impala was acting up. We thought we had a transmission problem. After Phil put the computer on the car & took it for a ride, he determined that the problem was not the transmission and we'd better served by the dealership. He called a rental car company and pointed us in the right direction. Rhonda comforted and soothed our nerves. We did get the rental truck and made it to Nashville for the wedding without any further problems. We will never forget your kind words and generous spirit. We honestly believe that God led us to you that day. We were strangers and you cared for us. Thank you.

As you know, we drove 500 miles one-way to find you, at the recommendation of Diesel Transmission Technology. It was worth the drive. You took in our Dodge with Cummins diesel engine and A518 transmission and returned it about three hours later. Your comments were that adjustments needed were few, despite the fact that we hadn't had it serviced since October 2002. That speaks well for the folks at DTT who supplied the torque converter and modified the valve body to handle our increased power input to the transmission. We've driven the 75,000 miles since then, and towed our trailer at least 50,000 of those miles. What speaks well for you folks is that I noticed the difference in transmission shifting the first hour out of the shop. Crisper shifts, but not harsh. Just right, to my mind. When we got home, I hooked up the trailer and took a 70-mile test drive. Again, the shifts were firm but not to the point that made me fear something would break. Again, just right. I also appreciate the time you took to discuss transmission maintenance with me.

Service at Chip's Transmissions was very courteous and professional. Phil was confident about their ability to correct the problem. Very straightforward and honest. Problem fixed right the first time. Fast service too! Very organized!
