We were in Sevierville the latter part of August and were having problems with our air conditioning in our car. Our son told us about the good service he had received on his car shortly after moving to Sevierville. He called your business; and made an appointment to have the a/c checked out. You checked it out, gave us a written estimate on the problem. We were able to talk it over at home and decide what work to have done. On Monday morning we returned and while we waited for a short time you did the work required for a "worry free" trip back home. Everything is still going great. Here we are almost to our vacation spot. Turn lft at light 8 and we were at light 4. Smoke starts to come from under the van. Stu says thats not us is it, but unfortunetly it was. We made it to our campsite and ask who we should call. The young lady at KOA said Chips Transmissions. I was so afaid that this would ruin our trip. It was sunday night but my husband tried a number and reached Phil. Phil said to come by in the morning and he would see what they could do. We left our van and rented a car so we could go to Dollywood. Phil gave us acall a few hours later. said it done. When we got there they had even plug in the van so our food wouldn't spoil. The mechanic was great. Phil was great. The van is still runnung great and it would have cost us more to fix here at home. What agreat place to break down. Not one moment of our trip was ruined. The people I dealt with were very friendly. There was no attempt to try to sell me additional services than I came there to have done. The mechanics diagnosed the problem well. The actual cost came in under the initial estimate. I really appreciate the Senior Citizen discount on Thursdays.
